While the announcement of the change in Alert Levels was once again unexpected, as Kiwi’s we’re getting pretty good at adapting and playing our part to keep each other safe. Here’s a quick update on the changes you’ll see at Mico Auckland stores as we adjust to the Alert Level 3 and Alert Level 2 for the rest of NZ protocols from today onwards. In doing so continuing to protect our people, customers and suppliers will remain our highest priority.

Mico Level 3 service model:

  • Mico Branches will be open in a restricted access manner for trade customers only.
  • To limit risk, we ask customers where possible to place orders online, by phone or via email.
  • We will be happy to fulfil these orders via contactless delivery or click and collect to minimise the need for trade customers to come into store.
  • If you do come into store, we ask that that you wear a mask and sign in using the NZ COVID Tracer App.
  • You will see an adjusted lay out in our branches with signage in place to show safe spaces to stand, barriers for restricted areas and Mico team members trained to ensure social distancing.
  • We will also be limiting the number of trade customers on site at any time.
  • You may be asked for additional personal details in order for us to maintain our contact tracing protocols when you enter or when you are completing a purchase at the trade counter
  • We have heightened cleaning and sanitising procedures in place and instant hand sanitiser will be available.
  • If you are receiving a delivery, our drivers will call you in advance, sign in on your site, maintain physical distancing and will not ask you to sign for your delivery, instead they will note the name of the person accepting the order.
  • We have protocols in place to ensure all team members who return to work are healthy and have not been in contact with a possible COVID-19 case.

Mico Showrooms:

In line with the government guidance our Auckland showrooms will be closed tomorrow and remain closed at level 3 as this involves face to face retailing. Our showroom staff will be available by telephone for consultations and to help place orders. The rest of NZ showrooms are open with social distancing in place. The team are also available by telephone for consultations if you or your customers would prefer. Place Your Orders Via Tradedoor

By far the safest way to place an order with Mico is via our TradeDoor website for contactless pick up or delivery.

Personal Protection Equipment on site:

As you will be aware the COVID-19 virus can potentially transmit through waste water and sewage and the use of respirator masks is highly recommended. These are available at your local Mico store.
